and they aren’t really very similar at all, totally different purposes. The 7d is a sport oriented camera with much better AF and faster sequencing (8 frames per second continuous images). The 5d is a full frame camera (you probably dont even know what that is, fuck it.) and is less sports oriented, the 1d is the sports full frame. for video they’re exactly the same though, except for the full frame sensor on 5d.
I didn’t say anything about him, lol. They have the exact same video, 1080 30fps, 1080 24fps, 720 60fps, and 480p. you clearly dont know what youre talking about, lol. don’t feel like arguing with you i have better stuff to do than talk to dumbasses on the internet.

if you could get the T2i for $300, you could get a $300 Tamron 17-50 2.8 lens which is very good. You could either spend $100 on the kit lens, or spend $200 more on a better lens. You will not be albe to sell the kit lens for more than like $70 bucks, unelss you keep it in perfect condition for all the time you have it. I’d just get a better lens like the 17-50, or maybe a cheaper sigma 17-70 2.8-4 or 17-50 2.8-4.5.
Holy shit man i just found a sick deal. google canon loaylty program. THey sell T2i bodies for $300!!! Thats like $200 less than normal. If you qualify its crazy sick deal. Look for body only, the cheapest body only you can find, T2i or t3i (sometimes you can find t3ischeaper lol). Yeah with $500 you might even be better off with a camcorder even. like a panasonic tm700. There is absolutely no need for a 60d unless you’re doing a lot of photos, even still a 7d would be much better for photos.
i only have $500 and im probably just going to get a t3i with a kit lens for now but get a good fisheye and other lenses and evuntually upgrade the body to a 60d
God it pisses me off when people ask “should i get t2i t3i or 60d or 5d or 7d” Just get the cheapest of them and invest more in lenses and stabilization and accessories. They all have the same GODDAMN SENSOR. lol. I

NEVER get a dslr with only the kit lens. NEVER. You’d be YEARS ahead of it if you got a used T2i body in good condition for like $400, and invested $600 in lenses. Even still, you’re going to need more than $600 in lenses to get good video. Otherwise you’d be much better off with a camcorder if you want to only invest like $1000.
They are both really similar tbh, my friend has both a 5d and a 7d. The 5d was his first purchase but he later got the 7d due to the higher FPS allowing him to do some nice slow mo & other effects.
…. but I don’t really advise you to zoom while shooting video because it often doesn’t look so nice, and it’s hard to do it right. If you really want to zoom while shooting, I would advise you to set your aperture to the max aperture of the zoomed in position of the lens ( e.g. if you have a 70-200mm lens i’ll probably say for example 2.8-4.5 aperture, in this case, set your aperture to 4.5). Good luck with it, I hope you understand what i’m trying to say 😉
That’s prolly because the maximum aperture of the zoomed position is bigger than the zoomed out position of the lens….

@gs4tech The Sony NEX C-3 would be very good in low light but it has been discontinued. The next best camera is the Panasonic G3. It has a CMOS sensor with a 6400 ISO rating which enables it to shoot very well in low light. Panasonic makes great lenses too, and the camera can also use the micro 4/3rd lenses from Olympus as well, so you have many options for low light photography. Thanks, Matt C.
