and using strobist tecniques there are diffeterce betwen 1/200 o 1/180 sync?
there is a way with 6d to listen the audio of the video with real time connection to an exeternal device like iphone?
I had an EOS T3, made the jump to the 6D for a few reasons.
#1 same full frame sensor and processor as the 5D3
#2 GPS built in, I had been using an Eye-Fi card witch is hit or miss on geotaging.
#3 better low light shooting
#4 Cost, as a hobbyist I don’t have the extra thousand for a 5D3
as for the focus system not being as good as the 5D3, the 6D’s focusing system is still a big improvement over my T3.
The fewer focus points on the 6D won’t necessarily make it much worse for sport, maybe for extreme situations. I have the Pentax K-5, it has 11 points, 9 towards the middle which are all cross, works very well for sports and birds etc..
The Wi-Fi functionality of the 6D is something I wouldn’t mind having.
I would find the 6D interesting for 1000€.

I am a 5d mark 3 owner and I am looking for a second body. I have no interest in the 6d, but I really would be interested in a 7d 2. I think having the extra reach and potentially faster frame rate camera makes for a much more useful set up. This way you have the full frame for portrait/landscape work, and the 7d for sports and wildlife. I have no interest in a 7d full frame however
How will you compare 6d to 5d m2
I read that the high ISO performance of the 6D is better then the 5D mkIII. Less pixel is better LOL. Who needs GPS? (LOL sorry Matt couldn’t resist).
I’m not worthy but I’ll be going for the 5D Mk III soon. Compared to the MkII FPSis better focussing is better and it has silent shooting. slightly better high ISO performace.
I have been doing some indoor stuff and these things are important.

its seems like 95% of people don’t seem to understand how cool the wi fi feature is, because they don’t even realize how it can be used, even Matt doesn’t seem to know, everyone talks about it like its for uploading images to face book, when it’s actually a pro feature that i wish I had on my 5D mark lll
I would agree with you except for the fact that the Canon blows away the Nikon and the sony with it’s high ISO, also even with it’s limited focus system, everyone says it nails focus 99% of the time, and the wi fi is such a cool feature that is very under rated, and the Nikon is nice, but it doesn’t matter how many focus points you have if they are all in the center, the coolest thing about the sony is the flip screen and the video, but I don’t think I would buy one
i’m sure I am not alone in wanting to see the same shot taken with both cameras at all the ISO’s side by side, not two separate ISO tests, same thing with your D600 vs 6D comparison you did, also as a 5D mark lll owner with all it’s focus points, I wish the focus points went all the way out to the outside, I am always locking focus and then readjusting my shot, and it should also have a pop up flash and autofocus assist beam, and also a better knob for moving the focus point around

yeah, okay, anyway, but you’ll expect the 5D mark III to be much better than the 6D … I meant that this comparison is unnecessary in my eyes. Nevertheless, all in all great videos Matt 😉 Have you planned a review of the new Nikon 70-200 f4 ? Maybe in comparison with the 2.8 and the new Tamron 70-200 VC ?

Too bad about the AF. Everything else is acceptable. A lighter fullframe with the AF from for example 60d would have made this a good offering. It seems Canon is intentionally crippling cameras with the purpose of siloing very strict market segments. Basically it means many people entering FF will go Nikon/Sony instead for FF, and 5DmkII owners will be forced to go 5DmkIII.

@acmav289 according to Google results it doesn’t do video AF. But I guess you can control STM lenses with a USB follow focus controller like on other cameras. Check out eg Onelonedork channel for reviews of follow focuses & STM.
