Did I hear right that you cannot use many to one lav mic transmitters to one receiver? Said another way if I have two or more talents to mic up separately for an interview would I need to have a separate transmitter and receiver for each talent?

I was wondering whether it is posible to manually dial in a frequency that is already being used i.e. a Priests wireless frequency for his wireless mic during a wedding ceremony. This would mean that I wouldn’t have to add a second lav mic onto them for my audio and could simply pick up their audio via my receiver?

This wireless system is rock solid. Last year at a shoot, my wired subject had the body pack on and was in an elevator on the 8th floor at a hospital. I was outside at ground level near the main entrance and still got useable audio. I was probably about 800-1000 feet below. With concrete and potential RF interference with hospital equipment, this system is very capable. It’s the BEST.

we suggest using our frequency finder (at sennheiserusa dawt com) to determine the frequency range, and then use the EZ Setup to find the operational tuning.
if you have a receiver / transmitter combo, you’re probably looking at the opposite one
…the pack with the AF Out is the receiver.

Hello- it sounds like you may have a bad input on the camera. Try the wireless set on another camera or mixer and see what results you get so that you can try to eliminate this from being a possibility. Email us at info (at) sennheiserusa (dot) com
my sennheiser ew100 g3 isn’t working correctly. i have everything set up and it had been working but now there’s no sound. but when i tap on the mic i can see the af levels bounce on both the receiver and transmitter. i have the mic plugged in the camera (a cannon vixia hfr200). i also have headphones plugged into the camera. any idea on how to get the sound working again? also, i notice there’s a buzzing when the camera is plugged in to charge but it goes away when it’s unplugged.
you need 1 receiver for every transmitter. this is a standard across all brands and product types that incorporate wireless for audio capture.
I have 2 ew 100 ge wireless lavs. Is it possible to sync both transmitters to 1 receiver? From what I’m gathering from this tutorial it is not doable. If that is the case what do you suggest for using 2 separate lavs?
Hi James– you’ll want to get a receiver in the 600 range or transmitter in the 500 range, as it is cost prohibitive to have them re-tuned.
My Sennheiser ew 100 G3 series receiver has a minor frequency problem. It is set between these frequencies 516-558MHz. The transmitter is at 626-668MHz. Is there a way to make them match so that it can be used? I appreciate your help.
