What brand of tripod extender is that? I tried doing a search however all the returns were for extenders that attach to the screw mount on the tripods ballhead, not to the center shaft like your does. Thanks and love the tutorials!

The music could be a matter of preference, but for me, it was soft during the actual shoot and narration, and only increased in volume at the end, a useful technique to signal an end. He focused on a single technique and explored it further. A lot of people try to cover too much in one video. The pace was good, his explanations were aligned with the progression of his topic, and his voice was reassuring and well-modulated. I give him and the video a solid thumbs up.

The D3200 is only a little more than the outgoing D3100, and has more to offer. The D3100 is capable, it’s just my suggestion.
why get the 3100 isnt the iso a lil lower plus most peopel tell me to just upgrade from my kit lens and im set
If you can, get the Nikon D3200 that just came out
im about to step up with camera and im stuck about which one to step up to i have a nikon d40 and the 3100 looks like a great choice plus i wanna start getting into videography and making lil short films since im familiar with nikon but the t2i looks great so confused lol

I guess you missed the point there too? I said that people shouldn’t count megapixels because things like high ISO performance are much more important. More megapixels DOES NOT equate to a better sensor. I don’t really know what you’re trying to get at.
Must of missed that in a rage. Finally though, on your point about Megapixels. Yes it’s true that they don’t really matter unless shooting and cropping. But megapixels in an SLR are directly connected to the quality of the Sensor, which as someone interested in photography should know. Is one if not THE most important part of an SLR. Higher grade sensor means less noise, better low light, better colour reproduction…a whole list of things. Just sayin’
My sister owns the canon. I did point out what the canon had over the nikon. If those features are not enough to make someone choose one camera other the other, what else would there be but to get what feels better? I did mention that I was a canon guy.
That’s a fair point actually but still my point stands about comparing them. Do you own them both or are you just going off spec and other people opinions?
They didn’t have the 1100D when I made the video. At the time of this recording, there were the comparable cameras in the market.
Why are you comparing these two cameras, there in a different league. You should be comparing the 1100D to the D3100. There at least the same level. The 550D and the 600D are the next step up, there similar to the D5100. So of course it’s more money, it’s the next level!
Also, you should really give an opinion at the end of the video, not just say to ‘go try them out’. People can do that without your assistance.
For any newbies buy the Canon, it’s better camera.
Firstly, yes you can use the screen. It’s called Live View. Secondly, anyone that knows anything about photography hates Live View for loads of reasons. Slows down auto-focusing speed by miles, drains more battery, slows down the time it takes to take an actual photo. You made the right choice but please don’t be amature.
Did he just said that the canon has 4.2 MP more than the nikon? Does the nikon has 13.8MP? I’m confused, I thought nikon D3100 has 14.2MP. Hmm 😀
