   Hey Guys speaking of moire whats your thoughts on how the video will be like on the Nikon D800e?  like the idea for it with stills but if its about tweaking in video too, what an annoyance. Any comments please?

   Defocusing ever so slightly sometimes is a good way of getting rid of moire.

   moire is really annoying especially on a sunny day and ure surrounded by brick walls or tiled roof tops… the sharpness reduction can no longer reduce that intense sharpness from the sun The only way is to use Caprock filter but then u lose resolution, im glad i have a HV30 for these kind of shots

    The reason 1080p has less moire and aliasing issues is because the CMOS Sensor are 18 or 21 for canon mega pixels. So let’s take the Canon 5D Mark 2 the images for stills are 5616 x 3744 now when you film in 1920*1080p it has to throw a lot of data and when you do 1280* 720p your down sampling even more.

    But if you encode to SD like 360p or 480p you down sample so much that the image is so soft that moire and aliasing can go away.
