Focus Basics: Ep 210: Digital Photography One on One

This week Mark goes over the basics of autofocus with a little help from Stunt Pig. Mark covers autofocus modes, the difference between drive modes and auto focus modes, adjusting the diopter and gives a few tips for using manual focus. The tables I’m using in this video are made by Tether Tools: www.adorama.com and www.adorama.com

Hello, are you familiar with “PhotoSFXart” (just google it)? There you can watch a smart free video demonstrating the way to take impressive pictures. It made it possible for Daniel to take photos which leave you with that jaw-dropping-effect while you look at them. It might help you out also…

Hi there, do you know “MagicSFXphoto” (google it)? There you can watch a nice free video explaining how you can make brilliant photos. It helped Daniel to take photographs which have a jaw-dropping-effect whenever you take a look at them. Perhaps it will help you too.

  10. If you don’t see the need for him to point out it was slower, then you weren’t paying much attention. He was pointing out that different camera setups have different speeds of focus and drive, it’s a lot harder to do that with the cameras you have on hand if you have them all set to the same speed. It’s not his fault that brand fanboys, or overly pedantic viewers get offended or pedantic.

Thanks! I am a total beginner. I am sitting here with my manual and these videos. I’d be lost and returning the camera without your videos.

  13. Mark, how can you embed your photos so clearly in the videos? I tried using final cut but they all appeared blurry even after rendering.
