Now one type of photo I tend to struggle with is a portrait/landscape. Say you’re on holiday with the wife and she poses in front of a great landscape, you want that landscape but you also want to see the person. if you focus on the person then you cut out a ton of the landscape, but if you pull out for the landscape then the person can become very tiny and almost irrelevant…
How do you solve this?

3 is a mystery number. fibonacci sequence and the rule of third are all the same concept. thanks to Da vinci.
OMG dude if your a photographer you would know the history of rule of thirds.its all derived from Leonardo Da vinci, the fibonacci sequence which is applied in all aspects of arts,photogrAphy and film making. the fibonacci sequence focuses more on what we used today as rule of third.however the vid was educational. thanks!

actually all the persons you’ve mentioned didnt originated the rule of third. its basic its what you call fibonacci sequence by leonardo the vinci. the rule of third was derived on that sequence commonly used in photography & film making. just to add the info up.

@Babanghans Manual focus doesn’t add any additional detail. What you’re doing with hands in 30 seconds, the camera does it in a fraction of a second. I’d spent over $2,200 on a lens because of it’s fast focus. If you’re doing macro, that’s when you can manual focus because everything is magnified and the lens may not focus exactly where you want. Other than that… it’s auto focus.
@frenchkiss10121991 I think that is depend on situation….if you have plenty of time and want an extra detail I think go for the MF

@dudhbhat You can do both but you’ll find 100+ grid line pictures on google vs 6 on youtube. Heck even my video doesn’t have a single grid line picture.
