The naysayers here could just go buy a MF system with a film back, then convert the photo’s to digital. They would then understand the advantages of medium format at a fraction of the digital price.

    Great video by the way.

can you have too much money? haha

The support and reliability of a hasselblad is something unbelievable with an unbelievable price too. 13K $ for the 31mp version of the H4D, i haven’t owned a phase one or leaf to have a personal opinion on the support and reliability . MF cameras are built to last a lifetime and everyone who have owned a mamiya-hasselblad-bronica-linhof knows that, but this is something you have to pay for. As far as lens choices i totally agree with you …

  6. willcitoman97 says:

interesting, but the reliability and toughness of nikon plus the choices of lenses had me sold with the d3 series

  7. davidg1024 says:

Can a photo have too much resolution?

  8. davidg1024 says:

    Exactly.

  9. TelisRafa says:

it will help him make better prints but not better photos. The camera is the tool the photographer is responsible for the photograph.

  10. TelisRafa says:

believe it or not the 28mp on MF are double IQ over the 24 on 35mm camera. I sold my D3x for the H4d 31 and i have no regret on selling it.

  11. davidg1024 says:

What if some jack ass bought one and assumed it would help them take better photos?

  12. willcitoman97 says:

    id get the d3x…

  13. jasonx1972 says:

“Normally, you only see amateurs take pictures with the subject’s head centered in the image”

depends on what type of photo you want, there a thousands of pro photographers who place dead center.

The ‘off-centre’ rule of thirds mantra is a photography college cliche.
