froknowsphoto.com It finally happened, Canon has sent a review unit for me to use to test out Canon lenses. The first body they sent is the Rebel T2i / EOS 550d along with the kit lens which I will not be using. Now that I have a Canon body I can head over to Allen’s Camera and play with any of the lenses that are in stock and give you guys honest straight up canon centric reviews. So far from setting the camera up it seems to have a much nicer button layout that the Pro DSLRS and the menu system is extremely easy to work. The large 3 inch screen is very very sharp and colorful and will be great for making videos and reviewing images. I will run it through its paces and see what I come up with. Hopefully, i will get my hands on some other bodies to start to learn their ins and outs. froknowsphoto.com

Almighty Frovader i have a question here
Im really doubting of wich i should choose between the 550d and the sony slt a33.
Both look like great dslrs and they don’t really have deciding factor to me, though im tending towards the 550d because of a little longer video time, more options in resolution and frame rates and a tat more battery life (ofc i can’t know for sure since i never handled them)
Do a decent review on this dude. Please loose the helmet too. I wish they would send you a 5D so you could turn to the dark side.

Jesus… Just to have manual control??? If it was because it had better video than Nikon (OK its true), All DSLR that shoot video have manual control. But yet, DSLR are for pictures, video is an extra. If you want video buy a good Camcorder…
Canon T2i or Nikon D3100? Witch one?
Just got the T2I and love it so far. I need some better lenses and an external flash. That will come with time and money.
The main reason I bought the T2I was that it was the only camera in this price range that will let me have manual control over 1080p video. A big plus for me.

I had cameras since I was 15, I am 60 now, never knew how to hold a camera properly let alone look at shooting from a viewer point of view, thanks master photographer Richard Michalak for the great insight. Promise to teach disadvantaged young people what I learned. God bless
I work in computer games and have just been doing some in-game lighting. I found it a whole lot harder than I expected. This video has been extremely helpful and thanks for posting! The problem I have is that in games you never know where the characters or player will be facing. Lighting has to work throughout a level. I think the only way to do it is to light key ‘scenes’. I wondered if you ever face a similar problem in film? Thanks for explaining everything in such simple terms. A great video
